In early March 2023, people from all over the world gathered at the Global Forum for Modern Direct Democracy in Mexico City.
As part of the event, SDI organized a panel on the topic of "How Digital Technology is Giving People Power Today" which gave us the opportunity to showcase three of our SDI Digital Democracy Award Winners:
CivilSpace (now part of ZenCity), winner of the 2022 SDI Digital Democracy Award for Inclusion
Ethelo, winner of the 2022 SDI Digital Democracy Award for Innovation
PlaceSpeak, honorable mention in the 2022 SDI Digital Democracy Award for Inspiration
The panel was moderated by Sam Chang of the Negative Vote Association and featured Colleen Hardwick (PlaceSpeak), John Richardson (Ethelo) and Assaf Frances (ZenCity). The event was introduced by Roslyn Fuller of the Solonian Democracy Institute.
